Sterling silver can be revived to a shiny silver simply by buffing with a jewelry cleaning cloth. It is best if stored in an air tight container. It does not like water of any type so do not wear into a pool because the chemicals could damage it. or even in a lake or ocean. When damaged, it is not always possible to restore the shine.
